Case reports involving diabetes published
New case reports describe osteomyelitis pubis and nonislet cell tumor hypoglycemia.
Two case reports involving type 2 diabetes were published by Annals of Internal Medicine: Clinical Cases on Oct. 18. In one, osteomyelitis pubis was diagnosed after several health care visits in a patient who had type 2 diabetes and chronic lymphocytic leukemia in remission and had recently begun taking a sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitor. In the other, a patient with metastatic intracranial hemangiopericytoma and type 2 diabetes presented with acute episodes of confusion and dizziness and was found to have nonislet cell tumor hypoglycemia.
